Privacy Policy

Information we collect

When you request a quotation, the site asks for your name, telephone number, area or suburb, the service required, and a description of the work. You may also provide an email address. If the conversation continues by telephone, WhatsApp, or email, you may choose to share an address, photographs, access details, or other information needed to understand the site.

The website and hosting environment may also process basic technical request information needed to deliver pages, diagnose faults, and protect the form from misuse. The current quotation form creates a short-lived server-side rate-limit record derived from the request’s network address. The theme does not save completed enquiries as a separate WordPress enquiry database.

How we use personal information

• To respond to your question or quotation request.
• To understand the tree, property access, location, required work, and refuse-removal needs.
• To arrange an assessment, plan agreed work, and communicate about the service.
• To keep reasonable operational, accounting, safety, and dispute records where needed.
• To secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website.
• To meet an applicable legal obligation or respond to a lawful request.

Quote details are used for the request you initiated. Saul Tree Felling does not use a website enquiry to send unrelated electronic marketing unless the required permission or another lawful basis exists.

How quotation details are delivered

The form and calculator send quotation details through WordPress email to the business recipients configured in the protected Site Details screen. If those recipients are removed, Contact can fall back to a prefilled WhatsApp message for you to review before sending. Information handed to an email provider or WhatsApp is then handled under that provider’s own privacy terms.

Sharing and retention

Personal information may be handled by website hosting, maintenance, email, backup, or communications providers only where their service is needed to operate the website or respond to the request. It may also be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required. Saul Tree Felling does not sell or rent website enquiry details.

Enquiry and service records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the request, the working relationship, ordinary business records, dispute handling, security, and applicable legal duties. Information that is no longer needed should be securely deleted or de-identified, subject to records that must lawfully be retained.

Security and external services

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so do not place passwords, bank-card details, identity numbers, medical information, or other unnecessary sensitive information in the quotation form.

The Contact page includes an embedded Google map. Opening that page causes your browser to request map content from Google, which may receive technical request information and may use cookies or other storage under Google’s policies. WhatsApp and social actions open external services when selected. Those providers’ terms and privacy practices apply, and information may be processed outside South Africa under their arrangements.

Your privacy choices

You may ask what personal information Saul Tree Felling holds about you and request access, correction, deletion, or an objection to processing where those rights apply. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. A request may require reasonable proof of identity and may be limited where the law permits or requires information to be retained.

If a privacy concern is not resolved, you may contact South Africa’s Information Regulator for current guidance and complaint channels.

Children and policy updates

The website is intended for adults arranging property services and does not knowingly invite children to submit personal information. This policy may be updated when the website, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
